December 15th- December 21st 2016
December 19th- January 8th
Saint Nick (not me) and all the shippers, has asked me to remind all of you that Mercury retrograde is upon us. In case you have not been watching your spiritual calendar, Hanukkah begins on the 24th. So we have Hanukkah and Christmas on top of each other! Where does Mercury retrograde come in to play here? If everybody decides to ship gifts at the last minute…well, you get the picture.
On December 19th at 2:56 am PST, Mercury turns retrograde in Capricorn. On January 5th it goes back into Sagittarius before going direct on the 8th at 1:43am PST.
So what does this mean? People are going to change their minds about what gifts they want and probably at the last minute, or everybody fails to communicate and one person gets the same gift from four different relatives. Due to Mercury retrograde, double and triple check travel itineraries and that is pending the weather allowing travel to cold weather locales. I hate to sound like Scrooge, and I do love this time of year, but this Mercury retrograde will cause a lot of returned gifts. Do you really want to brave the stores on the 26th?
If you are an NFL fan, this is one of those weird years when football is played on Christmas Day. Remember to set your DVR. Do you really think your family is going to allow you to watch seven hours of football on Christmas? Mercury retrograde likes to tinker with electronics, remember? What electronic devices are buying and setting up on Christmas or Hanukkah?
And there’s one more thing, as Colombo (Peter Falk) used to say. What happens within our government on December 19th? The Electoral College votes. Hold on to your Santa cap. Mercury’s reversal could cause the winter winds of change to howl.
Mercury retrograde is like Murphy’s Law. Sure, something can always go wrong…if you let it.
Remember, the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini rules the third house and represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius rules the ninth house and represents the “higher mind”. A Gemini Moon encourages us to think logically, while Sagittarius persuades us to think in a far broader, down-the-road manner.
Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for greater meaning and ideas that expand upon the here and now. Gemini is quite comfortable in their immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and our sense of what is to come.
The Full Moon is the time of the month to proclaim what no longer serves you, and then release it. Because Sagittarian energy is more indulgent, and we are heading toward the New Year, this is a great time to clean out before we accumulate more.
How does this Full Moon affect you?
A NEW MOON will occur on Sunday, October 30th, 2016, at 10:38 AM PDT.
A new lunar cycle begins with a New Moon in Scorpio. This cycle presents a good time to commit to personal goals that portray the positive sides of Scorpio. Since this is the last New Moon before election-day, I encourage you to set your intentions this Sunday on what you want, not on what you don’t want. Focus you attention on your intention!
A New Moon in Scorpio brings out intense feelings; good or bad, right or wrong. This lunation is a time when we can focus on not only being passionate about things but to dig deep and get to the bottom of the 8th house issues at hand. Scorpio New Moons are generally good for working on our deeper, Plutonian side. We may want to pinpoint the things in our lives that make us feel out of control or uneasy, so we can transform. This New Moon cycle is also an opportunity to explore within and find what leads us to engage in self-destructive behaviors. This cycle represents an opportunity to take out our personal trash–material and spiritual. With this potent Scorpio energy, if we use it correctly, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives and commit to those changes.
Scorpio teaches us not to accept everything we are told as gospel. As you observe your behavior as well as the people in your life, learn the difference between intention and agenda. During this New Moon do everything with conviction and focus on quality over quantity. If there is a project or problem that needs addressing, this is the time to commit to it. The Scorpio New Moon evokes a sense of purpose in us.
What intention are you setting this Sunday? If you would like to know more about your chart and how the Scorpio New Moon affects you, please contact me for a personal consultation.
If you would like to set solid intentions and achieve them please contact Audrey. Her "Tools for Transformation" method is perfect for the Pluto ruled Scorpio New Moon.
It's not a good time to “shoot your mouth off”, make promises you can’t keep, or accusations you can’t prove.

Planetary Positions That Affect the Upcoming Election
Part 2, Saturn in Sagittarius
Last week I wrote about the political mud-slinging and childish behavior.
Now that all mud has been used, I’m waiting for one the candidates to respond with “Sticks and stone…” Seriously?
Let’s look at how Saturn will affect the outcome of the election. Saturn rules the tenth house and represents reality, focus, karma, obstacles, contraction, government, big business and public life.
Saturn went into the sign of Sagittarius from December 23, 2014 to June 14, 2015; and then finishes up its transit from September 17, 2015 to December 20, 2017.
When Saturn is in the sign of the archer we tend to have a critical, cynical attitude towards many religions and philosophies. Without realizing it, we prevent ourselves from appreciating others’ viewpoints and opinions. We can more rigid, dogmatic and close minded. We take your own political beliefs and philosophies too seriously.
This is why followers of both candidates are so adamantly opposed to the other side, and there is so much religious persecution globally.
Saturn demands truth wherever it is in one’s chart and the responsibilities that go with attaining what we crave. With Saturn here, a desire to gain control is present, and when we see anyone of power attempt to control the people through the information they share with them, or through belief systems by imposing their ideas on others, it is met with stiff opposition. This behavior is something that should be avoided now because it will not be rewarded. The more negative expressions of the sign of Sagittarius, such as excess and irresponsibility, are things that won’t work for them now.
These become glaring under Saturn’s parental eye. In some manner, they are bound to see that there is a big price to pay for these behaviors, or it will become extremely clear that they have lost time, energy, and happiness with excessive and irresponsible behavior. Saturn in Sagittarius is not a good time to “shoot your mouth off” or make promises you can’t keep or accusations you can’t prove.
In Trump’s chart Saturn is in his fourth house until July of 2018, bringing private issues public. It is also karma with women. The recent exposure that came out about his opinions about women has just started. There is much more to be revealed.
In Clinton’s chart Saturn is in her sixth house until mid-December 2017, which means her health needs serious attention and changes required. The tough part about Saturn in the sixth house is it brings out a workaholic approach which does not server her health currently.
Given the position of Saturn in their charts and the duration in the respective houses, I believe both of them will regret being elected to the presidency. They will face circumstances that reveal truths that cannot be hidden and opposition to their platforms. Stay tuned!

Planetary Positions That Affect the Upcoming Election
Part 1, Mars in Capricorn
We have watched the presidential candidates mudsling like children in a sandbox, now they are throwing everything but the kitchen sink. If not careful, they may throw the baby out with the bath water. Ridiculous, yes?
What is driving this? Of course good old fashioned ego.
Why have the personal attacks increased? The first is Mars in the sign of Capricorn.
Mars is in Capricorn from September 27-November 9; the day after the election. Mars in Capricorn is deliberate, persistent energy. We should consider the future and the consequences before taking action during this cycle. Our energy is reliable and faithful. We are slow to anger but can seethe like a volcano, and can be quite cold if we are frustrated. The shadow side of Mars in Capricorn is rigidity. Mars is the god of war, it is unabated energy. Capricorn rules the tenth house, the area of success, fame, career, big business and government. Capricorn is all the about the bottom-line and asks “What’s in it for me?”
When Mars is in Capricorn people are serious about their ambitions, disciplined, dedicated, and tenacious in pursuing their objectives. Drive and energy are directed toward practical material accomplishment and achieving concrete results. We also strive to be in a position of authority and social influence and enjoy being the person who is in command. During this period we are hard-working and capable of forgoing immediate comfort in order to achieve your long-range goals. We can easily become workaholics and are very responsible and conscientious about doing a thorough job.
What can cost a candidate the election during Mars in Capricorn?
Not being realistic and pragmatic, or having an excellent, fact based strategy. Success is attained by formulating a conservative and workable plan and following through with it. This is not a good time to be a gambler when it comes to attaining a huge goal such as the presidency. Each candidate must depend on their own efforts and perseverance rather than luck. Mars in Capricorn brings out the shrewdness and calls for instinct in big business or organizational management.
Since this goes until the day after the election, the losing candidate will not admit defeat. It will look like the following scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
Black Knight: Have at you!
Arthur: You are indeed brave, sir knight, but the fight is mine.
Black Knight: Oh, had enough eh?
Arthur: Look, you stupid bastard. You’ve got no arms left!
Black Knight: Yes I have.
Black Knight: Just a flesh wound!
My apologies to the Arthurian legend and the Python troupe for comparing them to the presidential candidates.
A FULL MOON Lunar Eclipse occurs on Friday, September 16, 2016, at 12:05 PM PDT.
On Friday afternoon, the Moon is full, when the Sun in Virgo forms an opposition with the Moon in Pisces. This Full Moon is also a Harvest Moon which means it’s big, especially in the northern hemisphere. The Harvest Moon is also the Full Moon that occurs closest to the Autumn Equinox.
The Full Moon is a time of completion of what we intended at the New Moon. It is an emotional time and a moment to let go of what no longer serves us. Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse allows us to reflect. We are pushed to find a balance between mundane functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, mental health, and the journey within (Pisces).
Virgo rules the tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our psychological selves. This reminds us that we have everything we need to solve our problems.
Some sort of crisis (which can be a conflict of consciousness) or sudden awareness of something missing in our lives provides us with an opportunity to delve into our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity (opposing signs) where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts. Relationships may be challenged or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is a true “AHA” moment. This understanding can motivate us into taking action. Full Moons and Lunar Eclipses bring issues in our lives to fulfillment. Our emotions are heightened, and there is often some dramatic realization involved with the house, sign, and any aspected planets activated by the Full Moon. Note that whatever “happens” at this time is nothing truly new. The issues have been brewing inside of us, and emotions have been building. Something comes to light at the time of the Full Moon, and if we get in touch with our feelings, we can get a better idea of what needs to change, or what needs to go.
This Lunar Eclipse in Pisces is bound to thrust us into a state of heightened awareness. It’s a time to take note of your dreams, as well as insights or feelings that seem to come from “out of the blue”. These could be creatively inspiring. Because Pisces is ruled by Neptune and in turn rules the 12th house, subconscious challenges can be helped by hypnosis. If you would like to know more about your chart, and/or how hypnosis can help, please contact me for a private consultation.
Happy Harvest Moon!

Venus in Libra, Dignity
Now that we agree to stop beating up Mercury and blaming it for everything that goes wrong, let’s move on to a more pleasant topic-love. Venus, aptly named for the goddess of love rules the part of our chart that we like the most. Venus is the planet of beauty, love and sensuality, not sex. Because it rules the signs of Taurus and Libra it covers all the aspects of those two signs. Both of those signs romanticize everything they do. Venus’s action is gentle and harmonious. The house where Venus resides in your chart, and the sign it is in, shows what you value and appreciate and is an indicator of your social urges.
Venus is in transit in Libra from August 29–September 23and thus is “dignified” in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want. Although Venus in Libra virtually lives for relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer things to be done the “right” way, and are turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. There is a Pollyanna side to Libra that really believes in a win-win situation. Libra has a hard time understanding why things are not always fair or balanced.
The shadow side of this position is dependency, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact, or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so! Libra has to learn to love deeply.
Wherever Venus is currently in your chart, this is an opportune time get in touch with that area of your life and if necessary, make improvements or smooth things over. And if you so desire, beautify. On a business level, this is great time to network, meet people or join a like-minded group or organization. People are cooperative at this time.
Venus in Libra lightens us up and puts us in a loving mood. Even if you are on your own, buy some flowers, open a bottle of champagne and toast yourself. It’s an excellent time to fall in love with you.
Have a loving week,
This week we cover Hillary Clinton’s natal chart. It is so fascinating to study a chart of well documented people and find astrological and numerological evidence that supports history and behavior. As a brief departure, I don’t normally address numerology in these articles but I am here.
According to my system, Newmerology, Hillary is a 57/3 birth path number. The base 3 makes her a convincing communicator and good with the public. But the 57 means she publicly changes her mind. This means what? She flip flops. Yesterday she liked chocolate, today she likes vanilla. The entire page 84 and part of page 85 in my book are devoted to the 57/3 personality. There is significant info to know and cover. For those of you have the book, please read it for yourself.
Now back to the planets I left hanging out there…
The first thing I noticed about her chart is the cluster of Scorpio planets in her fifth house. This is one intense person! Her Sun, Venus, Mercury, South Node of the Moon and her Part of Fortune are all together. Scorpio is studied and reported as the most covert sign in the zodiac. How? Scorpio tells you what they want you know. And if a Scorpio tells you to leave them alone, they don’t want to talk about it, don’t prod. That stinger will come out so fast and furiously, you won’t know what hit you. But because all this Scorpio energy is in the Sun, Leo-ruled fifth house, she’ll do and say everything, including criticism with a smile on her face.
With Mercury in this position, everything is a chess match for her, meaning she loves a mental joust. With Venus here, she wants to make a good impression and create relationships with people. Mrs. Clinton has Scorpio and Taurus intercepted in the 5th-11th house axis. As I have said before, intercepted signs are problem areas of a chart. In her case it represents problems in personal relationships and letting go of past issues in that area of her life. It also can indicate a struggle to finish things.
Her Moon is in Pisces in the tenth (public house) which means she does have a soft spot and can get caught with her guard down. The Moon in this position means she likes public life, is ambitious and wants to get ahead. The Pisces Moon is sensitive, which shows that down deep she really cares, but she must be objective about business matters. Sometimes the Pisces Moon indicates the person stays in situations too long and does know when to get out.
Her rising sign or ascendant is Gemini, which makes her either a good orator or she can really sell it due to her enthusiasm. With Mercury ruling her chart here, she is quick minded and quick witted. This next part is very important and influences how she operates.
Gemini rising does not want to be weighed down with too much responsibility, especially others’ emotional burdens. This can make her seem flippant at times. However, due to the fact that her tenth house Moon almost perfectly squares her ascendant, it is hard for her to be impersonal or removed, thus people are drawn to confide in her. This makes her more transparent than she as a true Scorpio would like to be. Her Sun favorably trines her ascendant which gives her charisma.
She is born with Mars, Saturn and Pluto, all in Leo in the third house. She is convincing and really wants to lead people. The area of concern here is that her Saturn squares her Mercury, which tells me she has a very skeptical side and needs time to process any concept she does not understand. In other words, she approaches new ideas in a scientific way, which can result in a “let me get back to you response.” She is methodical, not speculative.
Due to the fact she has three planets in the fifth (Leo) house and three planets in the sign of Leo, we are looking at someone who wants to lead (which makes dancing interesting), especially with Bill. The ex-prez has four planets in Leo, including his Sun. That’s a lot of ego under one roof!
The Scorpio in her chart may be covert, but all that Leo brings everything into the sunlight. If I were advising her, I would tell her not to waste her time hiding things because it will all come out anyway. After studying her chart my take is, she is a very complex individual and hard to get a true feel for.
Next week I cover her transits and progressions leading up to the election. Thank you for reading this, I know this is quite a bit of info. But as I continue to say, “Form your own opinion and vote”.
I appreciate your responses to what I write, please share this with those who may interested.
On Monday, along with the Solstice, the Sun moved into Cancer where it resides until July 22. During this time we tend to be self-protective and more patriotic under this influence. Our attention turns to our nest–our families, homes, and anything that makes us feel “at home”, safe, and secure. There is more of a “charity begins at home” attitude. Nurturing and taking care of our loved ones and home projects comes into focus. Emotions run deep when the Sun is Moon ruled and we are more susceptible to mood swings while the Sun is in the sign of the crab.
While the Sun is in Cancer the USA celebrates its 240th birthday on July 4th. Next week I will cover the USA’s chart and the country’s year ahead. Look for many changes of direction beyond the presidential election.
Mars is retrograde until the 29th, now in the sign of Scorpio (since May 27th). Mars turned retrograde on April 17th, and will remain retrograde until June 29th. We are in the position to re-assess our current projects, our approach to getting what we want, and our desire nature. Mars energy is essentially turned inward–it’s internalized, intensified, personalized, and perhaps pressurized. There has been passive-aggressive behavior during this cycle as I warned. Since Mars has been in Scorpio there has been more aggressive covert behavior. Mars moves back into Sagittarius on August 3rd which brings positive energy. Until then we may still be instigating problems or arguments rather than dealing with issues directly. However, this can be a good time to learn more about our inner motivations and desires, as well as to reconsider old projects and interests. After the 29th, slowly but surely, confidence in our ability to assert ourselves and to effect change increases.
When Mars goes direct we will feel re-energized. The question to ask yourself until the 29th is “what in yourself needs a fresh start or new beginning.” What project has been on hold since April that can be launched next week?
It’s time to move forward.
A FULL MOON occurred on Monday morning at 4:02 AM PDT.
On Monday morning at 4:02 AM PDT, a Full Moon occurred, when the Gemini Sun opposes the Moon in Sagittarius.
This Full Moon is the second Full Moon in Sagittarius (the last Full Moon, in May, was also in Sagittarius), and is in the final degree of the sign. We may be getting final word on a matter. There can be a feeling of urgency to announce, close, or finalize a matter.
Once every thirty-plus years the Summer Solstice and Full Moon fall on the same day. This is a rare occurrence and should be revered. While the Full Moon occurred this morning, The Solstice occurred at 3:34 PM PDT. I guess it is appropriate that we honor the Sun on this Solstice on the hottest day of the year in Southern California.
Today, focus on doors opening and thinking positively. Let go of whatever habits do not serve you and welcome enrichment.
Summer has come in with a blast!
